A true connoisseur doesn’t care about the price if the item he is buying is unique.
So is true of this Saudi in Taif who has bought a rare two-year-old sheep for a whopping SR1 million.
The buyer, Saud Al-Tajel, also paid SR250,000 each for two younger sheep of the same breed, according to a local newspaper on Sunday. “The other two sheep are six months old,” he said.
Al-Tajel said the breed, known as Al-Hari, is guaranteed to make him good profits. They are 18 centimeters taller than normal sheep, he said.
He struck the deal because he plans to set up a sheep farming business. The two smaller sheep feed on sesame, corn husk and other natural products rich in vitamins.
“The sheep need two meals a day,” he said.
