A Saudi citizen in Khamis Mushayt has donated one of his kidneys to his wife out of love, local media reported recently.
The man’s wife had reportedly suffered from kidney failure and had undergone renal dialysis for the last two years.
The Ministry of Health paid for the operation at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah, Shuban Asad Al-Ghazwani reportedly said. After a series of medical tests, the kidney transplant operation was successfully carried out, he said.
