Rotten food items confiscated

rotten food item

Inspection teams from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry confiscated over 5,000 rotten food items that were on their way to be distributed in Madinah City markets. Some of the items were so rotten that they started to have bacteria in them. The items included meat, cooking oil, honey, noodles, and fruit juices. The ministry will continue to inspect all food outlets and impose severe penalties on violators. Consumers have been urged to report violations on toll free number 1900. — SPA
