JEDDAH — Designs of architectural projects across the Jeddah governorate are on display at the third Jeddah projects exhibition, which was inaugurated on Tuesday at Red Sea Mall by Governor Prince Mishal Bin Majed.
During the inaugural ceremony, Prince Mishal said the exhibition will move to three other major shopping centers to allow as many citizens and expatriates as possible to have an idea about the ongoing development projects in the city.
“This year the exhibition is bigger than last year due to a number of new projects under way in the city,” Prince Mishal said.
“The new projects will make Jeddah a top global tourism and commercial hub within five years. The city is likely to become one of the most important and attractive destinations in the Middle East after the completion of these new projects,” he added.
As many as 18 governmental departments are taking part in the exhibition, which is in its third edition.
The 35-day exhibition will display photographs and replicas of the projects implemented in Jeddah in the past, including the opening of many vital projects, the most recent one being the King Abdullah Sports City.
Other projects on display include the Haramain Railway, King Abdulaziz International Airport, several bridges, underpasses and roads and new expansions at the industrial city and Jeddah Islamic Port.
