Indian Ambassador Hamid Ali Rao said he would not allow favoritism at International Indian Schools (IIS) and reminded managing committee members that they have got the position to serve the community.
“We want to establish transparency in all our school activities,” he said while addressing the annual prize day at IIS Jeddah.
He congratulated IISJ students, teachers and parents for the excellent results scored during this year’s Class X and XII CBSE exams.
“Judging academic excellence is not an easy job,” the ambassador said while telling students who could not score high marks not to be disappointed.
“We should know that there were people who had scored top marks during their academic life were not successful in their practical life,” he said.
Consul General B.S. Mubarak called for innovative ideas to make education interesting and meaningful. There are more than 50,000 students at Indian community schools in the Kingdom, he said.
Muhammed Raghib Qureshi, head of the chancery and school observer, said IISJ achieved 100 percent result in CBSE exams for the fourth consecutive year. He said the school would continue its efforts to accommodate more students.
Dr. Haroon Rasheed, chairman of the managing committee, said the school’s outstanding result was the outcome of combined efforts by teachers, parents and students. “We have to continue our efforts to achieve better results.”
Principal Syed Masood Ahmed presented the annual report highlighting the school’s achievements over the past year.
